In the Division II Regional Quarterfinal Piqua came out on top as the defeated Central Catholic. Scoring for the Indians was Rolf with a 66 yard TD pass from Hemm. Taylor with a 16 yard TD run and Hemm scored a 1 yard TD run. Reed scored 3 extra points.

Ohio Mr. Football 2007 - Brandon Saine!

Congratulations to Brandon Saine on being named 2007 Associated Press Mr. Football.  Brandon is a two-time defending champion in the State Division I 100 and 400 meters and the State record-holder in the 100 at 10.31 seconds.  This Fall in Football he rushed for 2,035 yards and scored 35 touchdowns.  Click here to read more at ohio.com.

December 1, 2006 - Division II Ohio Football State Final
Piqua 26 Pickerington Central 7

Brandon Saine rushed for 226 yards on 32 carries - including a 80 yard run that tied the Division II Title game record for longest Touchdown on the ground - to earn the W.

Scoring: Saine: 80 yard Touchdown run, 52 yard Touchdown run, 29 yard Touchdown run. Piqcock: 8 yard Interception Return. Reed: 2 extra points. 

November 24, 2006 - Division II Ohio Football State Semifinal
Piqua (12-2) 22 Cincinnati Turpin (12-2) 9

The Indians are headed to the Big Show for the second time in six seasons!

Scoring: Wes Reed: 25 yard Field Goal. Brandon Saine: 3 yard Touchdown run, 52 yard Touchdown run. Phil Collier: 60 yard Interception Return. Reed: 1 extra point.

November 17, 2006 - Division II Ohio Football Regional Final
Piqua 27 Ashland 0

The Indians shut out Ashland 27-0 in the DII Regional Final Tournament Game! The Indians had 100 yards rushing and less than 300 yards of total offense in the win. Piqua will now go up against Cincinnati Turpin in the State Semifinals.

Scoring: Brandon Saine: 30 yard Touchdown reception. Justin Hemm: 30 yard Touchdown pass, 7 yard Touchdown pass. Tyrell Knox: 11 yard fumble return. Phil Collier: 7 yard Touchdown reception, 95 yard interception return. Wes Reed: 3 of 4 extra points.

November 10, 2006 - Division II Ohio Football Regional Semifinal
Piqua 40 Wapakoneta 21

Late in the first quarter, Dominic Allen picked off a pass from the Wapakoneta Quarterback.  Two plays later the Indians scored and never relinquished the lead in their 40-21 win. Phil Collier tallied 94 yards receiving on 4 Touchdowns to bring his post-season total to 7 Touchdowns. Quarterback Justin Hemm rushed for 139 yards and passed for 121 yards while all of the defensive line starters, Dominic Allen, Jafe Pitcock, Shea Selsor and Dusty Snyder, sacked the Redskins Quarterback at least once, with Allen wrapping him up twice. The Indians will face Ashland on November 17, 2006 in the Regional Final...

Scoring: Saine: 54 yard Touchdown run. Collier: 20 yard Touchdown from Hemm pass, 19 yard Touchdown from Hemm pass, 37 yard interception return, 40 yard Touchdown from Hemm pass. Monbeck: 22 yard Touchdown run. Burkhardt: 2 extra points.  Reed: 2 extra points.

November 3, 2006 - Division II Ohio Football Regional Quarterfinal
Piqua 33 Toledo Central Catholic 14

The Indians knocked Toledo Central Catholic, the defending Division II State Champions, out of the Play-Offs with a 33-14 win. TCC was the first to strike with a 12 play drive in the first quarter ending in a Touchdown. The Indians fired right back returning the punt to the Irish 35 and setting up for a 13 yard Hemm run into the endzone. After the 98 yard drive down the field on their second possession the Indians took the lead and never looked back. Phil Collier ended the night with four catches for 125 yards, three of which were Touchdowns and Justin Hemm went 8 for 11 passing for 148 yards and rushed for 159 yards.

Scoring: Hemm: 13 yard Touchdown run. Collier: 18 yard Touchdown from Hemm pass, 39 yard Touchdown from Hemm pass, 54 yard Touchdown from Hemm pass. Saine: 2 yard Touchdown run. Burkhardt: 3 extra points.

North defeats South in Grange Football Classic
The North Team defeated the South Team 34-13 in the 61st Annual Grange Insurance Ohio North-South Classic on June 17, 2006.  Ryan Ault represented Piqua High School on the South Team.
